Deputy Chief Marchetti will give an overview of the Brockton Hospital Fire and Evacuation that occurred on February 7, 2023. He will discuss the incident in detail from his perspective as the initial Incident Commander and then as the Operations Chief. He will cover the lessons learned and the integral role the Hazardous Materials Response Team (HMRT) played at this incident. HMRT's can play an important role and perform critical functions at large scale incident's, especially one as intricate as a hospital fire. Chief Marchetti will identify what some of those functions are, discuss interacting with command and the importance of providing written plans and reports to command for incidents of this magnitude.
