Paul Rogers was a Lt. with FDNY where he worked for 25 years and 18 years in the Haz Mat unit. During his time with FDNY Pau was tasked with leading the FDNY Hazmat\Fire Prevention team to view BESS installtions in NYC. He authored the current NYC Fire Code for BESS installation Currently , Paul sits a numerous battery Energy Storage safety committee with the NFPA , UL , IAFF, NYSERDA, Sustainable CUNY, NYS Governor battery working group and other organizations After retirement Paul worked with a company ESRG which is a fire safety company that workwith enegry projects in the USA and internationally. He is a fierce advocate for firefighter safety where his team of experts blend in the fire codes and fire operations to keep all stake holders safe during failures. He has responded to numerous battery failures to assist with fire operations and final removal of the damaged batteries upon completion of the event.
